LIVE YOUR LIFE!

As a child I listened to a story which was initiated by a popular song writer and singer Ebenezer Obey, He used Yoruba (A native language in the western Part of Nigeria.)

The lyrics are:

 “Ko s’ogbon t’o le da, ko s’iwa t’o le wu, ko s’ona t’o le mo, t’o lefi t’aiye l’orun o.”

The Translation means:

There is no trick you want to pull, no matter how good your Character is, there is no way you can please the world.

So the story is told of a man

who was travelling with his son, they had a Horse with them.

 The Father and the son rode on the horse as they were travelling to a faraway land, while they got to a Village; the Villagers saw them and said “you two are wicked why would the both of you ride on a horse have you no pity for the Horse?..”

The father decided to come down from the horse and allow his Son to ride alone, while they got to the Next Village. Villagers saw them and started ranting at the Boy ……”You are a very inconsiderate child the people shouted…why  will you  ride on the Horse and allow your Father walk! ” The Boy got down and said “Father I have enough Energy for the Journey, go on and mount on the Horse while I walk along.

At every Phase they kept on doing what PEOPLE said.

Well on arriving the next village the first man who saw them said” …why would you allow your Son walk all the way while you mount on the Horse….have you no pity for this young lad” ……and so, they went on and on, changing positions  through every Village.

 The final phase was when they had to let the Horse walk without the boy or father mounting on it …..Your Guess is right!…again, People talked and talked and talked.They said stuffs like why did you buy the horse if you knew you would not use it!

It’s so unfortunate that people have lived their life at the expense of what people will say…..unfortunately it has killed Ambitions, it has killed dreams….i should state Self-esteem has also been affected in most cases.

If there is any one you need to get permission from, it has to be you and your Creator not People!

People have led People astray.

People have no idea of what they say, when they tell People that their goal might not be reached in fact, in most cases most of them end up doing the same thing and we call them Sly!  Remember they are people

People are only human; if you were in their shoes you probably would have done the same, because you belong to the Category called People.

I dare you to go achieve your dreams; people will always talk any way so why bother!
